I have a October 1999 DC, I'm trying to try to play my 2 Japanese Games on it..My friend from Australia copyed DC Xploder for me..it won't work, Do I have to do something

I think the Xploder has some copy protection on it. It's not on a GD-ROM, I dont think, so your friend might have thought he was making you a copy, but the burn probably won't work.

You'll have to buy a real Xploder, DC-X or Gameshark disc. All will work as boot discs for imports. Even things like the Cheats'n'Codes discs will work.

Or if you need it free you could download the Action Replay CDX demo which the Dreamcast community has deemed legal to download in their infinite wisdom and morality.

Or you could download the utopia boot disc image for free.

Just do a google search.

v1.3 is the last release, I believe...

Anything will run in a 1999 Dreamcast.

However, the Action Replay demo is a better bootdisc than Utopia. Utopia won't work with a good number of games and it boots some games with the wrong I/O options turned on. The Action Replay demo is the same basic booting code used in a number of commercial bootdiscs like the Gameshark and Import Enabler and a couple others.
