OK. Wow. You heard the PSP is getting Rondo of Blood, right? Thread's still up, in fact. But I mean, getting Rondo of Blood on the PSP is awesome, but I'm looking at 2007, and I see a crapton of awesomeness on the way. My list is gonna look Wii-biased, but, hey, it's what I'm excited about.

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Looks like the popular party game that's actually quite deep is getting a sequel. It's got Snake, Samus, Pit, Meta-Knight. This gem will be mine the day it comes out. Party at MrSmiley's house, guys.

2. No More Heroes
Looks like Suda 51 (Killer 7) beat LucasArts to a game about wielding neat beam-sword things. I hope this game makes as little sense as Killer 7. If it does make sense, well, it's cell-shaded! And it has hilariously bad voice acting! Either way, I'm excited for something new that hopefully will be a breath of fresh air. And have laser stuff.

3. Castlevania Chronicles: Dracula X.
See Dracula X thread. Has remake of Dracula X, original Dracula X, and SOTN in one sexy package.

4. Radio Allergy
Should be good for a budget title. Played it once, wasn't too impressed. But, hey, a mediocre SHMUP that's a recent release is better than no SHMUP at all.

Rumors that hopefully will be true:
-Suda 51 and Hideo Kojima are working on "Project S" for the Wii. A Snatcher Sequel? Remake? That'd be AWESOME.

-Treasure is making a 360 shooter. No details yet. Hopefully, it will be epic and kick ass and whatnot.

Disappoints:
-New Gradius for PS3 was canned. Poor Vic Viper.

Talk about how excited, worried, or angry you are about 2007. Let the emotion just flow through your keyboard.

...

Am I high or something? Whatever. Talk about 2007.

Im not really psyched for any upcomming releases, but im looking forward to these:

- PS3 launch in Europe. Im not getting one myself at launch, but im excited to see how well it sells here in Europe. Its also the last console launch we'll see in years.

- God of War 2. I started playing God of War for the first time yesterday and this game is great! I'm sure the sequel is just as good, if not better :)

- Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy 13 and Tekken 6. I've never really been a fan of the series, but i'm looking forward to see how good they look.

- Racing Gears 2. I really hope they still release this for the GBA.

- Crysis for PC. I dont have the PC to run it (or possibly at lowest quality hehe) and i didnt really get into Farcry, but still, i'm looking forward to see how good this is.

- Medal of Honor Airborne. Medal of Honor Allied Assault + the expansions is one of my favorite FPS ever. Unfortunatly, MOH Airborne is only for consoles.

- Command and Conquer 3 for PC. They have pulled in aliens in this game tho, dunno if that will ruin the C&C feeling, but this game will probly be damn sweet anyway :)

There are probly more games i'm looking forward too, but these are the ones i can remember right now.

I'm psyched because there's almost NOTHING I'm interested in coming out this year, so maybe I'll finally get the chance to catch up on my backlog, hehe.

The only two games I've looked at more than once are SSBB & Pirates of the Burning Sea (PC MMO)

In no particular order...

Just about every A-list title on the 360 - Blue Dragon, Bioshock, Mass Effect, GRAW 2. Who isn't excited by these titles.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night (XBLA) - Simply a dream come true.

Halo 3 - no need for further commentary. This could easily become the best multiplayer game ever.

God of War II and Persona 3 - The PS2 will continue to hold my interest in 2007. I'm sorry Super Nintendo...the PS2 is now the best console of all time.

Mercenaries 2 - A sequel to the best "sandbox" game ever made. Instead of killing cops...you kill "bad guys". What a concept.

GTA IV - I can't wait to see what the game looks and plays like. I've never been a fan of "gangsta" culture (in fact, it makes me want to vomit)...but I still am looking forward to what this game becomes.

Super Smash Brothers: Brawl - A shiny new version of the best fighter of all time. I'm excited.

Super Mario Galaxy - The Wii controller could really screw this game up. I'll hold judgement until we know more. This game could be great.

Gameplay footage of 2008-2009 releases that we'll see this year - Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil 5.

Well 2007 seems to be the year I have finally got back into gaming after a few years of not caring, all thanks to the Nintendo Wii which has rekindled my interest. I'm also excited about all the emulation for the PSP which literally has only been played for maybe three hours since I bought it at launch.

As far as games go I don't really know much about whats coming buit here's a few:

-Wing Island (wii) I like flying games and with the wii mote it will be interesting,

-Wii Music (wii) sounds interesting at least.

-Forza 2 (360) Don't own a 360 but since it looks like a second gen version with better cooling is on the way I will just wait for that one.

Really thats it that I know of.

I'd mention Gran Turismo since thats why I bought a PSP in the first place but who knows when we'll see that or if I'll even care when it does get here.

Just of what I know is coming up:

Mario Galaxy-I am a consumer whore for all mario platformers.

Metroid Prime 3-I just got back to playing through 2, and it's sweet. I see no reason why the third game would change that trend.

Mass Effect-Everything about this game just sounds so damn COOL.

Sonic and the Secret Rings-could we finally have a GOOD 3d sonic game since the dreamcast days?

Smash Bros Brawl-no explanation necessary.

Halo 3-See above.

trio of new Dreamcast shooters-Last Hope, Trigger Hearts, and Karous may or may not be the best games in their genre on the system, but they're new shooters for me to play the hell out of, and that's good enough for me.

Battalion Wars 2-Battalion Wars with online play. SOLD.

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass-I've never complained about new zelda games.

I know there's gotta be a lot more coming out that would swing my fancy, but even of what little I'm already aware of, I'm psyched. Also if Nintendo decides to bring out Mother 3 sometime this year stateside, I'll probably never let go of the DS for a week.

I used to think that way. Then I played Chaos Field. I sold it and went on to buy a bunch of NES, Genesis, SNES, and even Game Boy and GBA shmups that I didn't already have that were actually worth my time.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to God of War 2 and Taito Legends 2 on the PS2. There's probably some DS stuff I'd like too, but I can't think of anything now, except...

I have a feeling that Racing Gears 2 has probably been cancelled for the GBA in favor of the DS version. If so, it's probably for the better.

I hope you are wrong hehe :( I have a DS myself, but its part of the NES 20 years anniversary limited edition so i dont want to use it and i dont want to buy another DS right now.

EDIT: I see that Wal Mart has the GBA version for pre-order.

Preorder this item today and it should ship on 02/24/2007

No idea how reliable they are when it comes to release dates tho.

There is a bunch of games I am looking for 2007. Here are some of the games I am looking forward too.

Burnout 5/Dominator- I have always liked the Burnout games and hopefully these will be as good as the one's that came before it.

Super Mario Galaxy- It's Mario and hopefully better than Super Mario Sunshine.

Metroid Prime 3- I am a huge fan of the metroid series.

Disaster: Day of Crisis- I like the idea of this game and hope to find out more info on it soon.

There other games I want in 2007 but cant think of right now.

So far I have my eyes on:

Super Mario Galaxy - I really only buy the main series Mario games, not spin offs. So for me this is a long time coming.

GTA4 - Next gen GTA has me very excited. I can't wait to see this.

Personally, I'm more psyched for 2006 now that many of the games I wanted to play are affordable. Then again, I'm usually a year or two behind with only a few exclusions.
