I suppose not all users here use to visit AtariAge, so...
It's with great pleasure I announce the new, revamped Opcode Games website.

http://www.opcodegames.com

Now you can find up-to-date information about all current Opcode Games projects, including released games, games under development, and planned games, as well as hardware projects. The new website was just possible thanks to my good friend Luc Miron, who will also serve as the webmaster from now on. I wishfully believe this new website will mean the beginning of a new, hopefully improved Opcode Games, now with its main (and so far only) programmer living in the US, closer to his core audience.
And talking about Luc, webmastering isn't his only hole in the "new" Opcode Games. He is also taking the "executive producer" position, which means many things like, keeping all involved parties on schedule, controlling budget, creating graphics for future projects (he's quite good on that), replying emails (I am really bad on that), signing checks and regularly patting me on the back, saying how great I am. However his utmost goal is to correct one of Opcode's main flaws: its ability to put games out the door. Since I started Opcode Games, I haven't been able to release more than a game a year, but hopefully that is about to change. This year Luc will be responsible for making not one, not two, but three new games available for us, eager ColecoVision users. How is he going to achieve that? I have no idea, and it isn't my problem anymore.
So Luc, please join in and let us know what Opcode Games' plans are for this year.

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but where can we buy your games? All I ever see are sales up on ebay and I would prefer to buy them straight from the source or at least somewhere other than ebay if possible.

Funny, where is Luc....
Well, about game distribution, here are some good news:
Last year I was forced to stop selling my games because shipping prices had skyrocked in Brazil. At the same time I was getting ready to leave Brazil and move the US, so I wasn't having a lot of spare time to spend with my personal projects.

The good news is that now I am living in the US and with some spare time again, so I can resume my Opcode activities. Better yet, now I can ship games cheaper and quicker (at least for those living in the US). I am just waiting for my new EPROM programmer to resume production (for some reason my previous programmer didn't like my new PC). Once I am all set and ready to start selling games again, I will post a notice here. That should probably happen till later this month.

Okay, I'm here! What did I miss? :)

Thanks for the compliment about the web site. I'm Luc, the webmaster and executive producer of Opcode Games. Not that this means much right now, but that will change within the next few months.

What ever happened with that Coleco Super Game Module thing that you announced that you were making in 2005?

It has been renamed to Opgrade Module:

If can find a few more information, pictures and sound samples if you search for "Opgrade Module" on the AtariAge forums.

Eduardo, you moved from Brazil to Massachusetts? Wow, that must be a HUGE temperature drop for you. (I'm in Ohio, and the temperture outside right now is -3 degrees. That's -3 degrees F. And not wind chill. So I can only imagine what it's like for you now.)

Anyway, welcome to the States and I look forward to many new exciting CV projects in the future!
