Ok, I know this must seem really dumb, but I rented this game, and it's pretty cool, but I can't freaking open doors in this game. I don't understand what the heck I'm doing wrong. I put the cursor thing on the doorhandle, and then I try to twist it, but it just doesn't work. I don't have the actual manual, but I went to gamefaqs to get more info on it, and it basically just says that you just need to twist the Wii-mote. But I've been doing that, and I can't freaking open a damn door.
What the heck am I doing wrong? Or maybe can somebody explain like you are trying to teach a 3 year old, how to open a door in Elebits, lol.

Well what I do is click on the doorknob, twist my hand to the left and push (or pull) at the same time. Every now and then the door will close again (weird physics).

Ok make sure the door isn't locked first. Then target the door handle and TWIST like you are turning a key (or a door handle) and then pull or push the door, depending on which way you are going through it.
Fun game! Gets challenging, too

How do you make sure it isn't locked? And what do you need to do if it is locked?

It'll say "locked" in red letters when you walk by the door. After getting a number of elebits, the game will announce "a door somewhere is unlocked".
As for the opening of doors: I never thought of actually "twisting". I just spiraled my remote in the same direction as the rotating arrows and the door opened. Twisting for me usually causes my onscreen icon to jitter, which kinda sucks when you are trying to right something that fell on its side or on its face and you need to click a button that the things body is covering up.
