Hello,

A friend of mine has an Atari 2600 Jr. which produces a very "snowy" picture. He is using the correct phono plug from Radio Shack, replacing the crappy switchbox. But picture is still snowy. I read a prior archived post about adjusting the orange pot within the RF shielding -- this helped a little but not a lot. Any ideas? Is the RF shielding just not doing its job? HELP!

The only problem I've ever had like this was when I used an automatic switchbox with an Atari 7800. He's not doing the same is he?

Nope. he's not using one of those automatic switchboxes. Any other theories?

Try replacing the RF cable. Make sure it's a proper shielded RF cable, or you will get interference.

Thank you omnedon, I'll definitely suggest that he does that -- I'll follow up in this thread when he tries it out to see if it makes a difference.
