Great! Now i'll be able to play that game, I wasn't about to update my PSP to play it.
But now that's another game that I have to buy for my Zombie game collection. Oh well. :D
(Yeah there are zombies in GTA VCS, In the brawn of the dead mission)
I'm buying, glad they decided to port it.

Good to hear as well, not that this is a surprise, I was expecting this to happen was just curious as to when. I will be buying it.
Although, I never played all the way through LCS...I should do that soon.

If you're a big GTA fan, I would recommend it. The missions aren't anything spectacular but they add some nice background to the GTA universe.

Haha, great! Unfortunately I don't buy the GTA games until they are cheap, like $3 cheap. I got GTA III a little after I bought my PS2 so my dad could play it; yesterday I picked up GTA III Vice City for $3. I saw GTA San Andreas for $8 and $5 elsewhere, but I'm waiting for the $3 snatching price. It's just the games are so dirt common their value doesn't stick.
I had a friend that bought this on the PSP around its release and it was interesting and to make it continue the goodness it'll need to be a great port non-the-less. I'd like to see how it turns out.

Of don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a fan, I keep up with the series and have all the ones for PS2...III, Vice City, San Adreas, and LCS.

Damn, March is going to be one hell of a month for PS2 releases... if God of War 2, Taito Legends 2, and Raiden III don't get delayed, I'll be getting those too.
I'm not surprised about the port and figured Rockstar was just keeping quiet to risk losing sales of the PSP version. But I've heard the game wasn't meeting the expected sales numbers anyways.

Yeah, I've heard the PSP version hasn't broken 300,000 units, which isn't very good considering the budget of the game.

Taito Legends 2 isn't coming out in the US.

This may come across as a rude question but what kind of effort will Rockstar put into this port? For the $19.99 price and considering it is on the PS2, I'd be partially worried about them getting a little lazy and mailing in this port. Better game companies than them have done it.

First off: w00t. I'm looking forward to this.
Secondly, why does Sony keep doing this? One of the main reasons I haven't bought a PSP is that every single must-have PSP game I've come across has been ported to the PS2. Are they intentionally killing their portable or have they just given up on it?

Sony isn't doing this, Rockstar is. And it makes perfect sense to bring these to the PS2 for a budget price after a period of being exclusive to the PSP. Help's them recoup development cost and keeps the console owners happy.

Considering that the PS2 version of LCS was a straight port of the PSP version - low res muddy textures and all, minus the multiplayer - I'd expect the same from VCS. I'm not complaining too much for only $20 tho.

Got a link to say it is? Empire would be surprised to know that they're releasing it next month I think. It's not on any legitimate release list, about the best you'll find is TBA at IGN. I'd love to know what makes you think it will be March, if ever.
I hope you're right though, especially if it includes the Xbox version as well. As far as I know though, its just a placeholder date for Sony's system, I think when March rolls around you'll find a different date listed. It's not in the computer system for any retailer I can find, where should we order it since its coming in a few weeks?

YES! That'll be the next GTA game I buy and likely not finish for some time, lol. Considering the Vice City era is my fav GTA era (since I'm a big 80's buff).

Maybe I was too hasty, I hope you're right about Taito Legends 2. :)
