I know a chess game isn't a big deal, nowadays. But this is 'Archon'. It's a classic on the C-64 and Apple ][. It spawned many imitatons...
I'll buy it - if it's an XBLA game. Even if it's a new 3-D version. I don't see this game being worth over $20.

Thats awesome :) I used to love Archon on the NES, no matter how glitchy it was. Fun multiplayer game. Looking forward to a retooled version.

Good news! Hopefully they include the sequel Adept as well...I enjoyed that one on the C64 almost as much as the original.
Fans of Archon should at least rent Wrath Unleashed. The Xbox version is playable on the 360 as well. It's not a AAA title, but it's good enough that I wish it had Live play since there's never anyone around for me to play with.

Loved Archon. I just hope they do it justice.
I remember the last remake "Archon Ultra" for the PC was rather sub-par. Ironically, during the same period an Archon type game was also made named "Dark Legions" - Which was absolutely fantastic in every way. it was everything an Archon game should be.

Always reminds me of the holographic chess game in Star Wars...
I read this was originally an Apple title, but I remember it from the C-64. I think there numerous gems that the C-64 can provide and hope to continue seeing them do so.

I bloody well LOVE Archon 1&2. (in my top 10 games, Desert Island list, the whole deal) I'm liking the idea of a "Revive' (sorry, had to do a joke there), but who's gonna be the Developer? I know the IGN article mentions the publisher, but how deeply will the Free Fall People (all 3 of them) be involved? Will Toys for Bob do anything on this? If TFB becomes the developer, I'd rest easy. Otherwise, I'll worry.
