Can't say I very much agree with #2 (Shadow was just way too fucking k-rad in VI and Kain in IV owned; I don't know if I could choose between the two) or #10 (Skullomania not only has pretty much the most awesome backstory ever, he's also hella fun to play).

Beyond that, it was a pretty fun list. I absolutely LOVE The King of the Cosmos from Katamari (what a complete asshole!) and always get a laugh out of his quips.

Nice to see they remember Duke Nukem, though in the last decade or so he's been kinda...bleh. Pretty fucking rad back in '96, though. He was kind of generic in the first game, but in Duke Nukem II he really started to flesh out and by the third he was just a wisecracking, womanizing action hero. God, I'm still excited for Duke Nukem Forever.

It was only in my opinion. I was caught between him and Xavier as characters. As a fighter midknight was not my best character and Jeta, Blade and R.a.x were my best characters. I liked Midnight turning turning into a bat. As far as Xavier went, he was cool fighter like doing the Identity Change.

The only problem with this kind of list is that I can only really think in the frame of mind of picking out games or series where I think one character really stands out. I can't pick a favorite from a game or series where I think EVERY character is equally terrific, like in Chrono Trigger and Tail Concerto.

I didn't really like the Salamander anime characters that much, and the girl in the game doesn't look like the anime character. So I consider them different.

Looks like they pulled a Metroid ending here, I can't imagine why Konami took it out of Life Force.

Chester the junk food Cheetah reminds me of "Poochie", the Itchy and Scratchy character that was killed off in the Simpsons episode (it poked fun at the TV and ad industry.) :-)
