We received a cable that is a SNES to Nintendo 64 controller adapter.

Any idea what game this was used for?

That looks like a Playstation to N64 adapter to me...

That is correct, my bad. Any idea if these worked with all the games?

Does it work?It seems to me that even with a connector that allows the controller to plug in it would have trouble operating with the hardware...

It looks like an ordinary controller adapter.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. Similar adapters were widely available for Dreamcast and Gamecube and worked fine.

It might be possible that Nintendo and Sony had worked together on the N64 and Playstation controller, and thus created this so people who liked Playstation games but not the controller could plug this in and use one controller for the other system. But this is just a guess.

It might be possible that Nintendo and Sony had worked together on the Playstation and N64 contoller and created this thing so that people who were used to a Playstation contoller could use it on a N64 or vice-versa. But I'm just guessing. Or some techno-geek who had too much time on his hands might have made it by taking the plug-ins of each controller and satauring them together. I'm just guessin'.

So it lets you use your N64 controller on your PS? Why on Earth would you want to do that?

No, it lets you use Playstation controllers on an N64.

Not that that would be ideal, either. Too bad there wasn't an adapter for using the Saturn analog controller on the N64. It's got the right button layout and the best analog pad out of all three systems. Best digital pad, too.
