What genre of games do you play the most?

For me it seems to be rpgs and adventures, followed by action titles.

Arcade remakes, fighting games, and first-person shooters, but I rarely buy games as soon as they come out.

I play 'em all evenly, mostly... puzzles/arcade/adventure/beat-em-ups/Shoot-em-ups/fighters/etc...

I'll tell you the type I play LEAST tho.
Sports: There are a VERY select few I play. and by sports I mean anything that is competition event. Skateboarding, Racing, X-Ball sports.
However I DON'T consider Hang-On, Out Run and the likes to be sports. Because all you're racing is the clock. It's arcade gameplay.
Pinball:
Actual Pinball Tables: Unfair as hell. Most tables have a magent in the second ball they release that pulls it STRAIGHT down the center of the table. I swear.
Video Pinball: The good ones are great, but it's hard to find good ones... my favorite, Pinball Illusions (PC... kinda old).

Building sims are probably my most played. Rollercoaster Tycoon II and Sim City 4.

Next would be strategy games like Civilization and Master of Orion. Turn based ones though because I don't really care for real time like Starcraft.

Right now I'm big on Racing games, particularly N64 Racers, I swear the N64 is the best machine for racing games.

Traditionally I'm a sucker for strategy games and can get easily distracted on a good strategy game including any pacman game(could never distinguish if pacman games are strategy or puzzle). And I'll bust out a Shmup if I'm strapped for time but need a quick fix.

Shooters and "fast" type games. These are my favorites. Mostly ones that have no ending...games you just play for score. These are the games I always come back to...even after 20 years! :) Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed in-depth RPGs and the like, but I just like to play mindless shoot-em-ups and quick reflex games most of the time. I want to GET AWAY from the troubles of life when I play games, not read a story for an hour, or work for hours and days on end to get where I'm going.
