I got this Mortal Kombat for free about six months ago with a dead monitor. I've been meaning to pull the monitor out and attempt to fix it, but I ended up getting a new 19" monitor as part of a trade recently. I was bored tonight so I drug it out to the arcade and wired it up. Works perfectly!
All that's left now is physically swapping the two out.
Flawless victory.

Really? I'd love to hear some of those stories.
One I heard was this guy who was found lying on the floor dead, hugging a tube to his stomach.
Apparently he was carrying the tube, tripped, and the neck went into his stomach. It broke inside, and because there is a vacuum, sucked his guts into it.
True story.

I was actually pretty disappointed the first time I discharged a monitor. After all the webpages I'd read about this impressive, gigantic zap and strike of thunder and lightning, it was more like a tiny "snap." A second attemp a few minutes later displayed nothing. I was really expecting hellfire and brimstone.

Damn heightened expectations.
With all the congressional hub bub back in the day getting killed by a Mortal Kombat machine would be just about the greatest ironic death ever for a gamer.

Congratulations, enjoy ripping all those guts out.
At the moment, my big problem is how do I fit another cabinet in my apartment...
