Does anyone know if there was ever a bootleg port of this to the genesis or anything like that? The arcade version was far superior to the genesis version, and as a child, I made the mistake of purchasing the game expecting it to be the arcade port. I do know there is a MAME rom for this (Although I've never gotten it to work).
Word.

Nope, no home port of this at all. Shame, as I remember it being pretty decent. Beat this on a 3p Cab with a couple of mates when I was about 11.

Both were fun, I have far more fond memories on the arcade version though, really fun with 3 players.
Wouldnt buy it in a cab, but high on my Mame list, for sure.

I've gotten the ROM to work in MAME, but I have a real old version of MAME.

I didn't even know there was an arcade version of this game! It is one of my favorite games on the megadrive. If it's even better than that one then i really have to try it out.

It's a hell of a lot better. It's more of a beat em up in the same vein as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
This game, TMNT 2 and Bonanza Brothers were my favorite games to play at Chuck E Cheeses when I was a kid. I LOVED these games.
Yeah, I used to love this game as well. Played it a lot at a local arcade back in the day called "Just For Fun." We nicknamed the place "Just For Skids" because it was usually full of metal heads in jean jackets. :)
The MAME version works well for that Moonwalker fix.
Pretty funny if not ironic how they describe the game play...
"During each round, as Michael fight off the enemies, he will find some of the children who are held captive. He must TOUCH each of them in order to free them. Some children give Michael special items..." (I bet they do - haha!)
