Superhero "God of War" (Ghost Rider)

Just picked up Ghost Rider for PS2. Not a lot of previews, so I was kind of uncertain what to expect. (But being a big fan of the character, I had to grab it.) It plays very much like a poor man's God of War as GR whips his flaming chains here and there with numerous unlockable combos as you play -plus there are some very cool motorcycle driving levels thrown in for good measure. Graphics are nice, storyline pretty interesting, gameplay is pretty much a button smasher.

Worth $30? Only if you're a fan of the character or if you want something to tide you over until GOW II comes out. But once it comes down in price (or if you can find it used or rented at Blockbuster), pick it up for an entertaining diversion.

I saw a video of it and it looked sort of boring.

Is Blackheart still a goddamn human in it? If he's in his old spiny demon form I will pick it up for sure.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that was pissed when they showed some scrawny white boy playing Blackheart. I mean when I think Blackheart I think the one from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 thats a real bad guy there.

Thanks for the heads-up! I completely overlooked this game, but watching some video footage I put it immediately in my must-have list. (In a couple of months it will be offered cheap)

God of War, Devil May Cry, Rygar, I just love a demonic setting with huge demons as bosses in a videogame. Even if this game isn't up on par with these games and copycats them shamelessly, it is a must buy for me. :)

I picked this up today, and it rocks.... great game, the PSP version is the one I got and its sweet.. I am gonna rent the PS2 ver.... good game all around, if you like god of war, this is a nice little way to hold you over on the PSP till the PSP version of god of war comes out.
