Didn't see a thread for this.

Anyone pick this up yesterday? It was a good deal for the wiimote but the games aren't spectacular. Quarky games but well worth it.

I picked it up. I like it, but am glad it comes with a Wii-mote. I like table tennis and the laser hockey. Fishing and shooting were fun too.

Laser Hockey and Tanks (an updated version of Combat) are both pretty fun with two players. I picked it up for the 2nd Wii controller. Not too bad for a $10 game...it's not worth much more than that though.

I might pick it up sometime just for the extra wiimote.

I've already got 3 wiimotes. Is there a (cheaper) version that comes without one?

Me three. I bought them around launch, but unfortunately I haven't even been able to find a Wii system yet. Apparently Wiis are popular in Chicago.

I'd be happy just to pay $20 for a copy of the game. I think it's silly to sell with a controller only.

Just sell the extra Wii mote on craigslist for like $35. Then you are basically paying $20 for Wii Play. (when taxes are factored in)

I really wish there was an option to buy without the Wii Remote. I already have enough of them.

Wouldn't they sell more product if they gave us the choice of buying the game for $50 or buying the two together for $70?

Sure, its a hell of a deal for another Wii Remote, but come on Nintendo, I have enough of them already. *sigh*

Edited!

Well i got it from cricuit city this past monday.

Not a bad collection of mini games.

I liked tanks, shooting range and laser hockey so far for the most on it.

At least now i got another wii remote for 2p.

I'd say it is worth the extra $10 in addition to the spare remote. Laser Hockey, Tanks, Shooting Range, and pool are the ones worth doing a replay with your friends on. Wii sports definately has better replayability.

Well if they sold the game seperately for 50 they wouldn't make much because the games aren't that great. They are more just like mini-games and aren't honestly worth 50 bucks.

You can buy it used from gamestop for 20 dollars. Someone traded in a copy yesterday for 10 dollars store credit.

Am I the only one that thought the cow race was a blast to play with a friend?

Yeah, I also got a used one from GameStop ($16 after discount). It's worth the $50 if you need the extra remote (then it's only $10! for the game). My girlfriend and I played it for a few hours, she totally stomped me at billiards, but I doubt this is one that gets replayed very much.

I bought it the day it came out and traded it in yesterday. I'm not much on multiplayer gaming and can live without the extra wiimote for now. We managed to obtain gold medals in all 9 games by the end of the second evening and continued to play the 9-ball game only, although all of the games were very good for what they were. I was disappointed that the games didn't "level up" your Miis like Sports does. I would have kept it without question if that were the case. Bit of an oversight there. It's a great deal if you were going to buy another wiimote anyways.

Wii Play is fun and worth it's price...but Wii Sports still kicks ass!!!
