I'm not sure if this was ever released on PC, but if anybody with a lot of Mac knowledge can help I'd appreciate it.

It was released in the mid-90s. It was an overhead view tank game where essentially in each level you had to solve some minor puzzles to reach the exit while blasting away at various alien creatures. ( I think it took place on a space station but I could be wrong - I know it was in space.)

relatively simple 2D graphics, but I remember thinking it looked pretty good really. Nothing fancy graphic wise but clean.

I know it's not much to go on but any help would be great. It's been bugging me for a while!

I can't think of anything that matches the description right now. Could you give some more details, for example: Did it use keyboard or mouse controls? Was it commercial or shareware? Did it come on a floppy or CD?

You might want to check out this list and see if any of the names sound familiar:

"Overhead view tank game" instantly brings Bolo to mind. But not exactly a puzzle game, that one.

This thread feels like CaryMG bait.

I was thinking Blasto... But I don't ever remember that on a Mac. Just a TI.

Or the puzzles...

Some good questions...I hope this helps...

It was commercial - I got it for Christmas one year.

It was on floppy, and you used the keyboard for controls.

I'm trying to remember what kind of mac I played it on - I know it was after the LC II but before the G3.

Hope this helps!

Whatever it is, The Macintosh Garden (http://mac.the-underdogs.info/) might have it on hand.

Darwin's Dilemma (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=3075) maybe?

Wow. That was the time I was huge into Mac gaming and yet it isn't ringing a bell at all. That must have been one I overlooked.

Well, it isn't Bolo. More modern. It seems I have a true stumper here. It must have been real obscure - I got for Christmas from my parents as a kid one year along with Doom II.

Oh well, wish I could remember. Thanks for trying guys. And if you ever come across a strange sci-fi tank action/puzzle game for the Mac you've never heard of, for God's sake get it. It was really fun.
