Not much there besides a picture, but it is fucking awesome to finally see some official news on this game. This will be the first Neo Geo game I buy on release date. Now the question is, should I get the Japanese or US version.

Depends...keep in the mind that the US one is more desireable to american collectors so will probably get sold out sooner. If there's one lesson I learned its that I wouldn't worry too much about region.

Mai's breasts are scary in that picture. "Look out, they're gonna blow!"

I believe today two more characters have been announced for this game...
Earthquake, of Samurai Shodown fame..the unthrowable, twice and tall crazy man...and his counterpart,
Hugo, from Street Fighter 3 and Final Fight, who caught me completely off guard being in this game. All the better though...Hug-o is the man who loves to hug (it's not his fault he just happens to crush you on the pavement).

See for yourself!

Here's some more info from Madman's Cafe (http://www.planetps2.com/mmcafe/index.html):

"Playmore has revealed additional details and characters throught Enterbrain publishing's Arcadia magazine, regarding their upcoming release- "SVC Chaos- SNK vs Capcom".

In addition to the characters already revealed through Playmore's official site (Kyo Kusanagi, Ryu, Iori Yagami, Ken Masters, Mai shiranui, Chun-li), Hugo from the Street Fighter 3 series and Earthquake from the Samurai Shodown series have been announced to be included in the game.

Playmore revealed the concept of SvC to be "SSI" - Simple(simple controls), Speedy(Speedy gameplay), and Insight(deep gameplay). The other concept of SvC is "Not a match", refering the game to not be tournament style like "Capcom vs SNK 2" or the "King Of Fighters" series. It is unknown if this part (Not a match) will have any effect to the actual gameplay.

"SVC Chaos- SNK vs Capcom" is currently under development by Playmore with partical license by Capcom. The game is scheduled for release in the summer on the MVS."

I'm pretty sure by "not a match" its referring to the story..as both KOF and CvS were games with the storyline of big tournaments. It' hard to make it not a tournament game, since they'll have tourneys for any damn game. Hell, even Galaxy Fight has tournaments.

Further news:
IGn reports that in the Arcadia interview with Playmore that announced Earthquake and Hugo, it was stated that the game would be coming to the 3 current consoles as early as this summer (import, obviously for that). So that gives us Neo Geo, PS2, Gamecube, and xbox(or dreamcast, God knows Playmore still calls that current). Add that to the Snk vs Capcom Advance for the gba thats announced, and this looks like Playmore's big push to be a big name.

Could be a big money maker for playmore and hopefully lead to something like Samurai Shodown 5. I really hope playmore lasts and continues to release new versions of the classic franchises, and new original games.

I really hope the xbox version is online.

Whoo-hoo!!!! And my PS2 is gonna be import ready soon! Man, I NEVER thought I would need to import a PS2 game, but I've got 2 on pre-order and this will be number 3 as soon as I can!

Of course, if given the choice, I'd go dreamcast. :) Long live Playmore!!!!
