View Full Version : Mint Boxed NES systems
I'm seeing alot of these on the 'ol ebay lately and was wondering what makes a complete mint nes control deck. Whats in twist ties, is there cardboard involved, what documents in what bags.
All the best,
Malk

Depends on the pack. I know the Action Pack, should come with A/V cables, Super Mario bros/Duck Hunt, 2 controllers, A WORKING AND NON YELLOW system, power supply, R/f unit, some posters and a small card. the plastic of the nes and the plastic to cover the instructions and such. I'll post a picture later for you to go by.
Now the Challenge Pack and the R.O.B set, I have yet to find, so good luck.

Is there a difference in value between the set with the red zapper an the grey zapper? Aren't the red ones more common?
And I don't think it came with RCA cables. I just came with the RF adapter, didn't it?
Poofta!

You would be suprised dood... I've seen some beat-up non working listings as "mint"
I think the grey is more commonly seen, but there isn't that much a price difference.
The Zapper color is all up to you dood.
Good Luck!

It came with both.

I dunno... I suppose I could go into my storage and get my unopened Action set and see what's inside! Wait. No. Bad idea.
Far as I remember everything was bagged and had black zip ties on all the cords. Came with both the RF and the RCA cables.

Where was the cartridge packed? Anyone have picks of a brand new one with everything in it's proper place? I'm always curious about this kind of stuff. Sometimes it's really obvious where evertything goes and other times I can't figure it out.

Cartridge was in a NES sleeve with a plastic bag, same bags as when in some game boxes.

Where was it in the box? Is there a space for a cartridge? I have a really nice Action Set right now and I was just curious.

Ebay is on the more expensive end. If I were you, I would try my luck at pawn shops, specialty stores, and whatnot. That one I have, I bought last year at Replay's for 50.00. And I believe that is too much.

It's been ages since I bought my NES Model 1 (new). I will say this. Some crooks have a nasty habit of shrink-wrapping used games and such and selling them as new. My NES box is in mint condition. My Model 1 NES that goes with it died a long time ago. After going thru THREE Model 1's I finally located and bought the more reliable Model 2 (the top-loader). Anyway, someone COULD take a nice looking, non-working Model 1 and stick it into a mint box. Scum bags do such things.

I paid something like $60.00 for a complete boxed action set with the grey zapper on ebay. Not sealed, but it was really neat getting it, and opening it up all over again. Just like Christmas of '87.
I won an auction on ebay for a "mint" NES control deck in box.
I get it, and the NES was dirty and had the second controller port dented in. Long story short, the dude wouldn't give me even a portion of my money back.
Sometimes, I hate Ebay.

Ughh!! The ROB bundle.... I can't believe I passed on a complete one at a used store for $80. I have regretted it ever since.
