Hullo, I'm back again with a new problem.
So I got xmess up and running, and it's working great. So then I went for the next step, which was to plug in my USB gamepad and use it under xmess. So I got that working as well, and everything lives in a happy harmony.
Until I got to the Commodore 64.
I'm able to load the disks in the emulator, and get to the title screen of each game, but after that, nothing works. I've tried pressing every button, swapping gameports, etc. etc. and nothing seems to work. I'm completely stumped.
Just for giggles, I also downloaded VICE and tried to get that to work as well, but I keep coming up with the same problem (although, VICE for Linux doesn't seem to have a very full-featured GUI, so it's possible I may have not enabled something). I've tested about 3 different games in each emulator so far.
Can anybody tell me what's going on or what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance! :)
