Hey guys,

I'm not sure if anyone has dealt with this before. Given that my game room is in the basement, the two open walls are concrete. It limits my means of hanging stuff up as tape doesn't stick in the least and I tried some putty-like stuff that refused to bond at all. That stronger white double sided tape has begun to give out as well.

Nails and such really aren't an option, so I'm running out of ideas. I'm open to suggestions here, if there are any.

Have you tried water-proof duck tape. That stuff is invincible against anything. If you are worried about damaging the posters I would suggest lamenating them at a place that does copies(they usually have a lamenation machine as well). Those two together should make it work.

Why? There are anchors made specifically for that. Only a hammer needed. pretty easy. If damage is your concern, there are concrete patch kits available for when you take stuff down.

If you're able to paint, lay down some magnetick paint and you'll be able to stick 'em up.

You have a ceiling or joists of some kind? Hang them along the walls from the ceiling. Just takes some fishing line or thread and attach it to the ceiling, and hang the poster on 2 of them from the top corners.. You can even just tape the line onto the poster to avoid having to tie knots in your poster.

I'd still rather avoid poking holes anywhere. Seems like a lot of work to hang some paper compared to some tape.

The ceiling idea doesn't particuarly work either. It's an unfinished basement as far as the ceiling goes, so the wood rafters don't stop with the walls.

I'll see what I can find as far as the duck tape goes. Thanks!

If there is a house above it, there is wood all the way to the wall somewhere above you, but at any rate. You're not going to find much of anything that will adhere paper to concrete basement walls. IT would be far easier, and probably cheaper, to just buy a couple sheets of plywood and lean them against the walls and attach it to that. If you end up with the posters laying flat against the concrete, it's going to get moldy. It will trap any small amount of moisture behind it, and will only grow. It's just basic construction.

I used a hobby puddy of some sort to hang them up when I was in a dorm room. It would hold until it got really hot and humid and even then I would just stick it back up.

3m has some pretty strong wall hanging products that may help you out too.

the other option is a paint specifically made for basement walls to seal, obviously you don't want to paint the whole basement, but putting up a couple dabs of paint where yu plan on tapoing should work ok as long asw it dries for a week or so before taping

Frame the wall and put panel board on the frame. No damage to walls and not too expensive....

Why not just hang a small piece of wood/cardboard down from the ceiling via fishing line and just attach your poster like that?

You could have it hanging like an inch or so *AWAY* from the wall so as it give a kind of 3D look.

You could probably even make a "frame" out of dowel (SP?) rods, place your poster on that, then hang it.
