Questions about being a vendor at CGE

Hi all,

This is Ed from Arcade-In-A-Box and I am really considering finally making the trip to CGE this year, for the first time. Since I live in Arizona, it makes sense to just drive to save on shipping and travel costs. However, I have some concerns/questions.

1. I'm not sure CGE is really my market for sales. I assume most of the people that go to CGE to buy are mostly looking for deals and rare import items, is that correct?

2. I'm not sure how well computer based Arcade systems do at a convention like CGE. Though possibly my Jamma and NeoGeo systems might catch some attention.

With those things said, a main reason for going would mainly to buy stuff myself :), and possibly get some media attention for Arcade-In-A-Box. I guess my question is, what is your opinion on making the trip as a vendor? Would it be beneficial in terms of the business and products I offer. If nothing else, I'll have a projector setup blasting some classic games on big screens :). I figure, if I am going anyway, might as well spend the extra 3-600 bucks and get a booth.

I GAMGATOR2000 am getting a booth again this year. Maybe we could go in together on one?

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for the offer. If I do go, I'll probably be getting a double booth and setting up at least one projector and the AIAB on an 80" screen, so I would probably need a lot of the space.

However, I might go a single and do the same thing, I kind of need to map it out and see exactly how big 10x10 and see if I can get both an AIAB and A jamma system running at the same time in a smaller booth. I'm guessing not.

If something changes and I want to split it with you, I'll get in touch.

I will be driving with a friend from Tucson though, I'm guessing you are making the drive as well?

Hello again Ed!

I'll also be driving from AZ (Phoenix). We'll be tagging along a 32" LCD along with 2-3 13" TV's, also have some smaller LCD's to round out the booth.

Hope to see ya runn'in a booth this year! Heck, maybe they'll put the AZ'ers alongside each other!
