I used to have two gaming friends. One of them liked to work through slower-paced single player games together. We would take turns, working together to make it through the game and experience the story. He and I played a lot of FPS's and adventure-type games (Max Payne, Mario 64, Duke Nukem 3D, etc)
The other friend (who I'm still friends with) likes to play high-speed competitive games. It doesn't matter what, as long as there is competition, especially simultaneous play, he likes it. Some of our favorites are Robotron, the NHL games, Tetris & Dr. Mario, the SSX games, etc.
Neither really like's the other's genre, my competitive friend thinks playing "solamente" is boring. The non-competitive guy can't quite keep up in the fast paced games.
I love all games, so of course I can play anything, but I go back and forth with the type of gaming "partner" I prefer so I figured I'd throw it out here and see what you all think.
