Asian megadrive questions

I have an asian megadrive, and I am wondering about a few things.

Do I need some special A/V converter box, becuase I am pretty sure it is PAL.

The AC adaptor is different, since I have the specifications of it, could I go to radio shack and get one with the same specs that fit US sockets?

I've never dealt with PAL stuff before, so I'd figured I'd ask.

For the video, some tv's have a pal setting, which would probably be your best option. Otherwise, from what I understand, you would have to make some internal modifications if you want to use the actual system.

For the power, if all the specs (polarity, power inputs, etc.) are right it should work.

Of course, for me, I use power down convertors, and other equipment to keep the system 'authentic.'

I'm sure someone will have more information for you since my experience was also in Playstation and Famicom units.
