Help with Dreamcast, ASAP!

Hey guys, my friend just got his newly acquired Dreamcast into his apartment, and it seems to be giving something of a "disc read" error. Everytime he loads in a disc, and selects play, it says that he should insert a disc....guess what? There's a frickin disc inside of it....

We need help asap, as I want to play some Dreamcast.....now....

Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Is the disc scuffed up? Even a little bit? Dreamcast is by far the most finicky console out there.

Other than that, your system could be defective.

Nevermind, the lens seems to have been dirty. And now, afk playing Dynamite Cop.
