This site is nothing else than a generator that adds X numbers of consoles each minute. I remember when Wii came out, it was generating too fast so it was showing more sold Wiis than Nintend had supplied hehe. So its not a trustworthy site, wait for official salenumbers instead.

This site has been proven baseless numerous times. It's a good idea, but completely inaccurate.

Are those not accurate sales numbers? I assumed they were. Please correct me if I am wrong...

Are those not accurate sales numbers? I assumed they were. Please correct me if I am wrong...Well, yes and no. These kind of sites do correct their numbers when the various console manufacturers release actual sales data (or market analysts like NPD) -- but they fill in the blanks with sheer speculation, the numbers will vary wildly if you watch the sites closely.

EDIT: Just to give you an idea, compare their numbers against those of the other big console war site, http://vgcharts.org/.

Unfortunatly not. Its just a generator that adds numbers to each consoles each minute or so. Example:

4:22pm = 1,512,996 PS3 sold
4:23pm = 1,513,000 PS3 sold

They also dont list any source where they get these numbers from. However, its not way off, like 360 have sold over 10 million etc, but its not really accurate. Its a cool concept, i like statistics like this, but i wish it was based on real salesnumber instead of just a generator.

Btw, anyone know if a site have graphs based on official salesnumber? I checked vgcharts.org, but it says less than 10 million 360s sold.

Maybe vgcharts has the real numbers and maybe the 360 hasn't sold 10 million yet.

And if someone posts some news thing showing that it has sold more than 10 million it's not going to be a "told you so" moment. I didn't say it has sold less than 10 million.

I'm just paranoid because people do that to me very often.

Hehe, well.. it is possible of course, but i do belive that MS have sold over 10 million consoles. I guess that vgcharts.com doesnt have access to all sales data.

they are not completly accurate. They sites take real sales number and create a mathmatical formula to estimate how many consoles are sold per min and let this formula run. whenever new hard numbers come out they adjust the page and recalculate the math formula.

So.....These are not exact numbers, BUT, they are based of the rate at which systems are being sold and are accurate to that sense.

This is why you see 10 mil on one site and 9.something on the other site The numbers are actually pretty close but they're both estimates based on formulas.

You'll notice that although different both the wii and PS3 numbers are close too

PS3 is 1.8 mil on one and 2 mil on the other

the wii is 4.8 mil on one and 5 mil on the other.

not the same but close.

If you buy all three consoles YOU win.Its all about the games not who's selling the most.

It says on the site the figures are estimates.
If the formulas are good though, it at least provides something to think about.
