I have a VGA box by Performance I've used for some time and recently got a new TV which had a VGA port. When I hook this up to the TV, I have these very apparent vertical lines running through the picture. I never noticed them on my PC monitor before. Other signals going in VGA via that same port (Xbox 360, PC) are flawless.

I'm well aware that my best bet is the box itself going bad, but then I would assume I would see the lines when hooked up to all sources.

Dreamcast games top out at 640x480 (or 480p).

As your computer/360/PS3 gets 1280x720p or higher. 480i or p, doesn't look good on LCD's or DLPs which its what I'm assuming you have.. The DC VGA cable was really meant for PC monitors since HDTV's hadn't really taken off yet, when the DC was around.

My guess is you need a new box. Mine looks beautiful on my HDTV.
