So what's your favourite Tom Clancy game/series?
I'm personally a big fan of the Splinter Cell games. The first one blew me away when I played it on Xbox. It was like MGS2 on steroids. In fact, I don't think I've finished an MGS game after playing the first SC game. The most recent one has blown me away again - I love playing both sides of the equation.
To be fair, though, I haven't really played any of the other games, other than the training mission of GRAW (I'm waiting to finish Double Agent before tackling it). I'm looking forward to playing it, but I have a hard time believing it'll beat Splinter Cell as far as favouritism goes.
So how about you? Have a favourite? Or do you just hate 'em all and want to rant?

I don't hate the games but I'm not a fan of them either. I have only put time into Splinter Cell for the Xbox. I liked parts of Splinter Cell but it just wasn't my type of game. Also I got stuck in one spot that I couldn't figure out and because of a mistake I made before the save point I always had to back track for about 3 minutes before moving on so that took the enjoyment level way down.

I my self am a Rainbow Six fan. I love the series, and have been playing the games for some time, I am really into RB6 Vegas right now.

Splinter Cell has always been my favorite, but Rainbow Six Vegas my favorite Clancy game yet.

I hate the older Rainbow Six games. I'm just too impatient for them.
Splinter Cell 1+2 are cool, I don't dare play 3 because of the Starforce, though. :(

Rainbow 6
I tried playing Splinter Cell but it was too damn hard and slow moving. Never liked the 3rd person view of Ghost Recon either. R6 though is the perfect balance for me and I've been having a blast playing R6 Vegas on Live for the past couple months.

I'd have to take Ghost Recon (and I'd lump Sum of All Fears in with it since it was essentially a simplified Ghost Recon) series, though I've never been too happy with the static enemy placements. Still, they were a hell of a lot of fun to play co op (Sum of All Fears in particular had some great maps) and I LOVED being the machine gunner (give me a SAW or an MG3 and rest assured that you'll have your cover fire :) ). If only the PC port of GRAW didn't suck... :(
The planning phases in Rainbow Six kinda got in the way of everything (though the prebuilt mission plans did help a bit) and gave it a case of Covert Action syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covert_Action). Ghost Recon streamlined it a good bit while keeping it nice and tactical (SoAF streamlined it further pretty well and makes for an AWESOME introduction to the Ghost Recon gameplay). That said, Rogue Spear was fun as hell and the fluid leaning in Rainbow Six 3 was wonderful.
Splinter Cell is a darn fun series, but Ubisoft Shanghai's contributions to it have really hurt it overall. At least they only put out one bad Ghost Recon game (and a relatively minor one at that; Ghost Recon 2: 2007 on PS2 and Gamecube) whereas they've polluted the Splinter Cell series with two games so far (Pandora Tomorrow and the 360/PC versions of Double Agent). Ubisoft needs to send some peeps from Montreal over there to tell them what the fuck is up.
I never knew Shadow Watch was a Tom Clancy license...I always felt it was a bit "ok" but not much else. Neat graphics and it fit the bill when I was jonesing for an X-Comish game but didn't have X-Com or anything else to play...but...yea.. Along those lines, I always thought Force 21 was a Tom Clancy license, but I guess it was just a Red Storm Entertainment original game. Hey, the more you know.
While it wasn't included, I had a hell of a lot of fun with Red Storm Rising (http://www.mobygames.com/game/red-storm-rising) years ago...but it's been well over a decade and a half since I last played it.

The only Tom Clancy game I have any interest in is Ghost Recon.

Splinter Cell here. Which more or less ended my rabid fandom of the MGS franchise. I mean I still love the Metal Gear games, but as I got older and after being blown away by the first MGS... I just can't take a series seriously that has all these freaks and arcade style life meters where a dude needs to be hit several times with a freggin' missile. SPLINTER CELL on the other hand went for the juglar and the rest is history. Love the attention to detail, the more "real world" feel to it rings truer for me, and Michael Ironside's voice is perfect for Sam Fisher. I'd have to say this series is the one that caught on the most for me, but I do like the "Ghost Recon" games too. I'd have said Rainbow Six, but the adventures of Mr. Clark and Ding Chavez are better in the books IMO.

Same for me, as far as SC goes. Looking forward to getting R6 Vegas when I finish the game I'm on now. Hopefully there will still be people on Live with whom to play. I'm not a big online gamer, but this one just sounds too fun.

The Rainbow Six series is easily my favorite series of gaming in general, let alone my favorite in the Tom Clancy line. And he's got some damn good games attached to his name. From the first Rainbow Six on the original Xbox, I couldn't even begin to count how many hours I've spent online with the series. The balancing of the weapons and maps is possibly the finest of any console first-person shooters; there's a continuous refreshing of strategies used online that really keeps the games fresh far past their expiration date.

If previous games in the serious are any indication, there will be R6: Vegas players online for a LONG time. Especially with the new map/game pack coming out in March.

I'll have to go for Splinter Cell. I loved the first, 3rd and 4th :) I never got into the 2nd one.
