When I was at NAVA I had mentioned to some people that I had a ton of "Trash 80" stuff. Well, I finally dug it out and decided to take some pictures.

Anything interesting in here? I laid out the real discs, the copys are in various boxes. If anything it's a cool blast from the past, the newspaper article was actually from 2 days before I was born. Plus on the other side it has an ad for a $4600 Eagle Computer with "10 Megabyte Hard Disk"

Well, I was one of the guys interested... but, I was on the Coco side of TRS-80 stuff. I don't know any of this stuff, except for the modem shown in your photo #830 - I have one of those! I also had the cassette drive shown in the same photo, but that has disappeared.

Can't tell you much about the other stuff, though.

Like Schenley I was also on the CoCo side. When you look at those at those sweet Tandy binders, you KNOW that the contents inside are for the premium Tandy "Model" computers. The CoCo got gray binders (like for OS9, Pascal, etc) or plastic front-flip boxes.

Not sure what you're lookin' for when asking about what's interesting (which the stuff is on its own :) ). Scripsit made its way to the CoCo as a cartridge, if I'm not mistaken. Pyramid 2000 is a tough little text adventure game that will have you pull your hair out experimenting with NOUN VERB combos. Visicalc was probably ported to every computer known to man back then.

The Tandy tape deck (or is that a Realistic?) was an excellent deck. My Dad got his for the CoCo back in 1981 and it pretty much lasted until 1992 when the motors started to slow down. If the one in the picture is the same model we had, it can do rewind/fast forward preview, which was great for finding where a program started on a tape. Lots of "consumer" decks like a GE didn't have this and that's one of the reasons why that sucker was expensive back in the day.

It's mostly apps for the Model I and Model III machines. You can find info and links at wikipedia

I have several TRS-80 machines and they're pretty crappy gaming machines.

Thse pics remid me of my plethora of C-64 disks and disk holders I have laying around.

All of the software binders came with the TRS, if I remember correctly.

You should scan that disc punching article. I used to do that all the time, to my floppys. It worked, as long as you didn't touch the actual magnetic media. I even bought one of those floppy punchers they used to advertise back in the early computer mags. :)
