Obviously it is a Dragon Quest/Warrior IV(4) Hero figure, but who made it and was it apart of a series of figures? Was it an official product or some fake thing to cash in on the success of the series? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The writing by his foot says something like "... and Monster Set also available". Of course that doesn't mean that they actually made it.

On the back on the package it does say "Made in China" but aren't most things? I am not sure if that is Japanese or Chinese.
Can anyone help?
