This reminds me, what ever happened to the wireless controllers they planned? I remember they had Cammy, Sagat, and Evil Ryu on them...but I don't think they were ever released.

You guys should be asking me these questions since I worked at NubyTech!

There were 7 WIRED controllers released for PS2 and XBox, and ecresto has 6 of them. The ONE you are missing is AKUMA for PS2, which I still have for sale if you want.

MJ: I have every pad for sale if you are interested, just PM me.

As far as the Wireless Controllers go, these were postponed because of D-Pad issues, then when the time came to release them, NubyTech had ceased operations. There are about 3-4 of each character that exist, Cammy, Sagat, and Evil Ryu are the main ones, and there is only ONE of Blanka, which was going to be cancelled anyway because it became difficult to have the controller light up and crackle, emulating Blanka's electricity move.

A Set of these were sold on eBay separately back in Feb 2006, and they went to:

Cool since you work at nuby tech I have a question for you. What is the equalization socket that came with some streetfighter anniversary arcade stick? Why it was included with some sticks and not others.

Good question. I see some completes hitting the $15 shipped range, but who knows how torn to all hell they are. I've seen loose ones for the lowest of $5 and completes for $10. I never jumped on them since I wasn't really planning on collecting them and I'm not much of a fighter guy.

I sell all of the controllers for $15 each shipped. They are new in original box with everything.

About the equalization socket, it prevents the dual analog sticks from the XBOX version from moving crazily when it is plugged in the PS2 port.

OMG. I want a wireless Cammy so bad. It looked pretty damn rad when they had it on the site.

I was rather curious about how well these pads would work with Capcom Collection 2 (XBOX). As it is I use the D-pad on my wireless controller.

Push Upstairs: The XBox controllers will work fine on CCC2, but the D-pad is of lesser quality than the PlayStation 2 version.

Is the d-pad better than that that is on the S Controller or say...the Logitech wireless controller?

If not then the pad is really not worth owning...it'd probably be easier to just get a PS2->XBOX controller converter and use my retro pad (like i do with my Dreamcast).

I found the D-pad to pretty mushy and not all that great.

They look cool, but as for actual gameplay use, I'd take a pass.

I agree - I bought 2 of these to play Street Fighter Anniversary (or Collector's Edition, whatever it was called) for Xbox, I tried using them for a bit, got annoyed and went back to the Controller S. The d-pad was crap :(

I ended up selling them locally for $20.00 for the pair. They were Bison and Akuma.

As far as the Wireless Controllers go, these were postponed because of D-Pad issues, then when the time came to release them, NubyTech had ceased operations.

Well that explains why their asshat-run eBay online store stopped replying to emails, stopped sending out controllers that people had paid for, and never refunded anyone's money.

guess im the only one who preffers the dpad on the controllers to xbox's dpad. i hate the dpad on hte xbox controllers s or original. i love hte dpad on these. use them for any 2d game.

How do they compare to PS2 Dpads?

I mean, I've used the PS2 to play fighting games, but I didn't find it that hot...

DreamTR

roushimsx: AFAIK they have refunded anyone that did not get products, and there is a new store instead of the original one now.

Kitsune: the D-pad for the PS2 version is much better than the XBOX version, and the D-pad is better for fighting games, similar to the ASCII DC pad made awhile back, but the D-Pad for the XBOX version IS inferior. It works, but just not as proficient.

I guess that figures. :P People can probably buy a PS2 to XBox adaptor, though! ;)

If you still have a few left when I buy my PS2, I'll ring ya up. :)

They never refunded my money and they quit replying to my emails about 6 months ago. When I left negative feedback, they countered by saying that they'd refunded my money and that I should be avoided.

I'm still a bit upset over that.

roushi: email me at: DreamTr@aol.com, give me the PayPal receipt and I will check the PayPal account for NubyTech, I have authorization to at least check the items (not refund) to see if something went though or not, but I can check immediately based on first and last name and paypal receipt.

Kitsune: I should have plenty of CHun Li and Akuma, running low on Ryu, and almost out of Ken. I bought the remainder of the stock.

Yeah, these are pretty crappy controllers in my opinion. I bought an Xbox one for converting to USB and using with my laptop, but the thing just sucked. Mushy, imprecise dpad, clacky buttons and an overall hollow feeling. Too bad since they could have been great controllers with some simple improvements. I swear, third party controller makers must not ever playtest their products.

I have a Guile one for the Xbox, It's nothing like the PS2 controller..

DreamTR: Can you hold the Ken PS2 Controller for me til May

DreamTR
03-09-2007, 02:05 AM
Mario: That's a pretty long time, I can not guarantee it.

Sweater FishL I hope you are only referring to the Xbox version, the PS2 version is fine. Also, keep in mind, anytime you use a converter, there is a possibility of latency. These were not meant to be used with a converter, so if you have only used them on USB, you can not say for certain the buttons are unresponsive. I know for a fact (since I have played enough Street Fighter with these) that the buttons ARE responsive, but the D-Pad quality is just not as precise as the PS2 version. It's playable, but the PS2 version is better.

I just have the ryu one nothing more.

The reason i needed it for the 2p for any time a friend is over.

While for the 1p i use the hori PS2 saturn pad.

I wish i could have gotten another PS2 Saturn pad for 2p insted.

While i got np with the, Nuby sf pad button layout and d-pad still i think the controller is too damn thick...

Realy nuby would have been better off if it was the "same size" as the saturn one :p
