View Full Version : Shouldn't there be a price listing for factory sealed games?

I searched the database and see that the same prices are often given for loose or complete though people always pay less for loose games and more for complete ones (except at gamestop...cheap shot).

Anyways what about factory sealed games? Of course this'll also have to take into account the quality of the shrink wrap still on the case but a price range should still be given (or attempted at the very least).

I recently got a few factory sealed sega cd games (mortal kombat, sonic cd, Vay and Dark Wizard) and was interested in seeing what Vay and Dark wizard would be worth sealed (vay has a tear in the bottom right on the wrap but Dark Wizard is pretty damn perfect). And seeing how you always see sealed NES games of popular titles fetching 2X-3X the value of their mint/complete counterparts I thought it may be a good idea to add that information to the site.

they don't list sealed prices beacuse they go up and down a lot, one time something may sell for $50 and the next it might go for $200.

If you're looking for a ballpark figure, take the complete price and add say
%25-%50. but even that isn't a set in stone idea.

I agree its a very up and down thing I mean I have read instances where Golf on the NES has gone for over 200 hundred sealed and thats a little ridiculous.

Too hard to do. When a game is sealed, a buyer has a lot more leverage than if he is selling a cart only or even a complete copy. At least that is my opinion. Sure, someone could create a price list for sealed games that is either based on actual research or pulled out of thin air. However, a lot of sellers are just going to inflate it anyway. Much more so than people are already doing for games that are not sealed.
