Christ, I paid less for my first car. Then again, that wasn't boxed.

I second that. Good for Marco, bad for everyone else.

This is the last boxed game I need for the 5200... at that price, I wonder what a loose one would fetch?

Yeah this is a bit extreme. The sealed copy that Bill Hogue himself, auctioned off last year, only went for around $350.

And I can remember seeing this game complete on 4-Jays website about two years ago for $250 IIRC.
But lately it's been on the rise. The last couple auctions for it loose topped the $350 mark, one was $393 The other was a bit less.

Does seem extreme, I sold my loose copy last year for 300.00 then turned around and bought that sealed copy from Jeff Konyu, but if I thought I could get that price I would sell it in a second

If you look at the bid history, the bid right before it was for $350, then a bid for the final $750. Something strikes me as odd with that.

@DREW, Have you opened it yet? Just curious, That's a hard decision to make. I open ALL my games, besides for some of the newer PSX, DC, etc, that I just haven't had time to try out yet. But it's such a rare game, having one sealed would be much harder to find.

@zektor, The reason for the huge jump in price is because landsmarra meet the reserve. The bid that CPUWIZ had put in was a resonable price, but far less than the reserve price of the auction. If you proxy bid and bid well above the current price the auction will jump to the reserve if you meet it.

Although I have been tempted to open the box, as of yet I have not. Also I need to add the person that sold the game was not Bill Hogue but was Jeff Konyu I had to find my paper work to remind me. He sent along a very nice letter to help establish the history of this item

Letter from Jeff follows

Congratulations on acquiring this truly one-of-a-kind collectors item. My name is Jeff Konyu, and I worked at Big Five Software from day one until the end. On Bounty Bob Strikes Back!, I created some of the graphics that were used as prizes as will as general ideas on game play and special equipment that can be found in many of the levels. I also did extensive testing of the game for bugs and correct operation of all features and scoring. I also worked on co-development for the layout of the game levels. Listed below are codes and instructions for moving through levels at will as will as viewing the secret messages.

I know this is going into good hands with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Sincerely, Jeff Konyu
