Anyone from CT or the within an hour or so of Kingston, NY and have any suggestions for where to go for classic games? I live in CT and visit Kingston frequently so either is fine.

No matter how much I search online, I can't seem to find any stores anywhere near either area. So instead I get stuck shelling out more than I should on eBay. Anything in CT or the area (RI, MA, etc), or anything within driving distance of Kingston would be helpful.

I hate to say it but there really isn't shit in connecticut for classic gaming. Perhaps Joe should think of opening up shop around here.

Yup, pretty much what I figured. Was holding out hope that there was some hidden gem I had somehow managed to completely overlook, but knew it was a long shot. Which is why I'm willing to travel to RI, MA, or NY if there are shops there (anyone know of any?).

The closest one that I'm aware of is the Video Game Exchange just across the border in NH. Never been there so I don't know how good it is (anyone?).

A few years ago I went to a huge outdoor flea market in New Milford, CT and there was an indoor flea market down the street with a decent game selection.

Ever been to the Dragon's Den in Poughkeepsie? It's about 35-40 minutes south of Kingston on the opposite side of the river.

Nope. Far less familiar with the Kingston area than CT. I'm only in Kingston about once or twice a month; lived in CT my whole life. But I figured there was much more hope in the Kingston area than around here, since I KNOW there's nothing in CT.

But yeah, Poughkeepsie is definitely in my range of travel. What's that shop got and how is it?

They buy/sell/trade new and used games. They have PS2,PS1 Dreamcast,2600, Intellivision, Genesis,SMS, Saturn, Sega CD, Gameboy ect. Pretty much a little bit of everything. Up until last year or so it was just games, comics and sports cards. Now that there is a new owner they sell paintball, airsoft guns, action figures, and all those pokemon type card games. You can find good deals, just depends when people bring stuff in to sell and who prices it. If there's anything in particular you are looking for just ask as I usually go once a week.
