Power supply for the Sega Genesis/CD/32X that uses a single wall outlet? I'm no electrician so I don't even know if its possible but it seems like there shouldn't be any reason why it can't be done. So why doesn't anyone do this? Seems like they could sell well if they were priced appropriately, say $15-20.

Of course, there would need to be two versions (for the regular and mini plug) but perhaps the leads could somehow be swapable.

Sign me up for one if anyone ever gets this done, danke.

Iv'e thought of this also. I wonder if it would work to just splice one actual transformer and just splice the 3 cords onto it? Of course you have to make sure the polarity was the same on all 3 "Sites of splice" Maybe I'll put this theory to the test with one of my extra Genny 1 cores and a 32x......It would prob. run to hot though, as it is you should alway's unplug the genny transformers when not in usse anyway's.

It's such a pain to try to hook up the complete genny units with outlett space, that I hardly play it anymore.

You prolly overload the transformer, Try it at your own risk

We had this same discussion a few months ago.

Just splicing three plugs onto a single Genesis wall wart would probably work, but Genesis adapters are only rated for 1000mA, I think, and while I've never tried measuring the draw of any of the systems, I bet you'd want more than that, especially for all three systems at once. At least 1.5 or 2A, I should think. I've seen 9V 2A AC adapters at thrift stores before. Splicing three Genesis style plugs onto one of those adapters would give you an all-in-one with no problems. To be absolutely safe, you'd need a 3A adapter, of course.
