Picked this game up the other day. Very poke'mon-esque and actually so far is pretty fun. Also this title is finally pushing the wifi capabilities of the ds. Special cards, Download points, 16 player wifi battles, 500 spectrobes! Anyone else get this?
Also, does anyone know where they will be releasing the cards at?

Psh fine. I guess I was the only one cool enough to buy this game.

I admittedly don't know a lot about the game. It seems to hae attracted a bit of attention on GameFAQs, but Gamespot gave it a very mediocre review. I'm not sure if my liking of Pokemon is enough to make me buy it.

I've seen it at Target and Best Buy.
Here's the crappy thing about this game (at least to me.)
Each game is packaged with 4 cards (regardless of where you bought it.)
The ones available at Best Buy are packaged with an exclusive card (not sure what character.)
The ones available at Target are packaged with an exclusive card (Vilakroma.)
If you pre-ordered at GameStop - you got a stylus, and a lanyard with a pouch attached. In the pouch - yep! An exclusive card (Windora.)
The thing about this game for collectors will probably end up being the "card" factor. I'm not sure what the extent of the card situation is (how many, where can you get more, etc.) but it will be interesting.

I think they're just going to be releasing the cards at any given point. Like If I was to walk in to toys r us and happened to be the right. I'm sure there is a way to find out though.
Also, each game comes with different cards than the next. Also when you start the wireless play you initially are given 30 download point and an extra 10 every friday is sent to you. It's like an allowance or something.

I actually saw a "behind the scene" clip from this game over at Gametrailers.com earlier today. Looks nice, but as you say, it looks very pokémon'ish. I enjoyed the first Pokémon Red game for Gameboy, so this might be cool too :)

Also - the strategy guide comes with cards as well.
Man, this is going to get ugly.
Nothing like combining a game with collectable, usable cards.
This is a combination of Pokemon card collecting with the game, and that blows.
Heaven help them if they decide to pull that whole "rare card" crap...
