That was an awesome story. Just the kind of thing to uplift my day.
I mean, he put his job on the line for a kid he'd never even met. That says something right there. I'm glad it had a happy ending, too.

I finally got to read ALL of the other chapters. AWESOME stuff. great first-hand accounts from inside Nintendo.
Wanna read about the guy that created Captain N and got screwed in the ass when they stole it from him? Well, read those other chapters!

I wonder if that's the famous SMB2 Prototype (http://www.themushroomkingdom.net/smb2_proto.shtml) from two years ago? Nah, it probably would have had a label.
The author here probably isn't the famous Mr. Lincoln. Is it Leslie Swan ? No, wait, she would be the "Senior Editor" (or is she the "dragon" ?). Dan Owsen? No, too young...
