Does any one know if their is a way to use th 6 button japanese controller for the PCE, on a original US TG16 console???

The controllers are compatible, but the plugs are different. You'd either need a plug adapter, or some controller cables have the same connector inside the controller and can be swapped. I think even TZD used to sell Frankenstien Duo controllers - TG16 controller, Duo cable.

Yes, open the 6 button controller, unplug the wiring from the circuit board.
Then open up a tg16 controller and do the same. Voila, the easiest mod ever.
