I played FFX when it first came out. I remember when I finally got the Magus Sisters summon - the first time I summoned them, there was a special introduction sequence. It wasn't the normal one where they flitter in as sparkles and then they pop out of the ground as flowers.

No, it was something different. I remember that the first time I summoned them, the three showed up as shadowy figures all dressed in black, and they all looked pretty hot. (They didn't look like the Dark Magus Sisters by the way, IIRC they looked like 3 tall slender chicks dressed in black). This was funny because they then showed you what they actually look like, and they're not hot. This introduction happened once. Every time I summoned them afterwards, it was the standard introduction.

I'm not the only one that remembers this, my wife was watching me play and remembers the exact same thing.

However, now she is playing through FFX and has just obtained the Magus Sisters. She summoned them and there was no special introduction, just the normal one when they pop out of the ground as flowers. It's kind of bugging us that it didn't happen again.

So, I checked on Google and Youtube looking for any information about this special introduction for the Magus Sisters and I can't find any info anywhere! Does anyone know anything about this? Why did I get it and my wife didn't?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Did your wife have the short-summon option on before she got the Magus Sisters? That popped into my head as a possibility

That's what I thought too, and she did have short animations turned on. So we turned it off, reloaded a save file from before when she received them (not as big a deal as it sounds) and did it all again, and there was still no special introductory sequence.

I'm stumped.

What I find particularly confusing though is that I can't any info anywhere on the internet about this special intro sequence.
