Hi there guys!, i have a little question, ´cos i´m not a true GG expert, so i expect you could help me. Someone has offered me an european Game Gear, but the screen seems to be bad, because it only appears the half of the screen. Does this have any solution?, maybe changing the screen, but...very expensive...or impossible. Please, tell me.
Cheers!

Well, I'm not a GG 'expert,' but any GG from any region will work just fine, as long as you have the power plug for your area (or have a ton of batteries to use...not really recommended). I wouldn't waste money on a broken GG - the screen is the most important part; if it's bad the rest isn't going to do much unless you do GG projects.
As far as screens go, you see GG 'screens' pretty often on eBay, but they're only the plastic covering, not the actual LCD display. That won't help you. I have never seen an actual GG replacement screen for sale (to be fair I haven't looked as long as some have).
Good thing the system's still pretty cheap.

Yeah, if the screen is shot, don't bother. I remember an occasion when a local store replaced the screen so it's possible but this was back when they GG's were still available new and worth something.
You can see here how it's attached to the motherboard, solder away!

check out those high quality components too
Unless you want Z80s or whatever, the screen is by far the most valuable thing in the GG - especially now that they don't make them anymore.
