Gameboy Booster rare?

I have this thing called a Gameboy Booster that i cant seem to find anywhere else. It's like a huge outer casing for the original gameboy. I'll post pics soon. I just checked the box and it said it was manufactured exclusively for radio shack.

Anyone want to venture a guess at how rare (or not) this is?

I saw it in Argentina and i didn´t buy it because i thought that it´s pirate, but now i can see that it´s not like that...maybe you can post a pic so i will see it again...because maybe i´m confused.

Geosucky has a policy against off site linking to images so they block if you just click at the link above as Geocities would notice the reffering site was not Geocities. Just copy & paste in a new browser window.

I do remember seeing thos somewhere before way back when the Gameboy was still new. Can't remember where though, maybe at small store like EB or maybe a magazine reviews.

I don't know HOW many variations of Game Boy "boosters" i've seen...

I've never seen that one tho.

The one I like best had the same tyle over lay with thumbstick and raised buttons, bit it had two speakers that closed over the screen like some of the new HDTVs, I always that was a neat way of making it look like a big super sound system (when all it did was amplied blips and squeaks!), but I DID serve the purpose of protecting the screen (which I greatly like about the folding GBA SP)

Does the Magnifier work any good on it? Any I've seen suck... cause while they do make the center look big and better... the further you get from the center, it tends to get 'warped' with the curve of the lense, and ANYTHING on the edge of the screen is damn near gone (like score,life,standard HUD stuff)

And in the end, all it does is make the system big and bulky and less "portable".
