Coin Mech Question

I'm in the process of restoring the coin door and all its parts on my Centipede. The coin mechs are beyond disgusting...and they're broken. They are/were the light tan plastic type...bad description I know, but I don't see a manufacturer on it.

Are all 25 cent coin mechs interchaingable or do I need to find the same type of coin mechs to replace the trashed ones I have?

You can use any quarter mech in there, metal or plastic, but you may have to fight it a little to get it lined up properly. Depends on what application you're using it for. If it's for home use, metal mechs (usually coin controls) is fine, for a road/arcade piece, you would more than likely want the style mechs you have or the black plastic Imonex mechs. Reason being is that the old yellow plastic or Imonex mechs will accept a canadian quarter, whereas a Happ contols or Coin Controls metal mech will jam with a canadian (it gets stuck to the magnet).
