View Full Version : Ebay page says I've been paid with Paypal - but it's not in my account!

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? My ebay sale page says "paid through Paypal on 4th February", and when I click on "view payment" it shows me a Paypal page which says that I've received the payment - however when I look at my account balance, it has not been credited with the amount in question. Nor does the transaction appear when I search through "view account activity" facility.
I've just emailed Paypal Customer Services ... am a bit narked!!

I've started having the same troubles, but reversed. eBay shows that a payment is pending when in actuality it was an Instant Payment. I've had two such recent incidents, and I'm also quite miffed.

I completely quit ebay and paypal after loosing $900 last fall to a scammer. Good luck!

Someone tried to scam me on Paypal for a somewhat smaller amount, but I take care to empty my account after I receive any payment so there was nothing for them to get from me. Had to abandon the account, as Paypal put it in negative and kept hassling me.
However this doesn't appear to be a scam, it seems to just be Paypal being shit.

Is this an echeck that just needs to clear? They show as a transaction (status uncleared) but do not affect the balance of the account until it clears.

No, it doesn't appear at all - there is absolutely no record of it on the Paypal account. I selected to view all account activity from 1st January to today, and there were no entries at all between mid Jan and 26th February, which is when I received payment for a subsequent sale.

Wow, this is wierd! I so to say never log into my Paypal, but today i did it and i had the exact same problem and now i read this thread. I sat the date right, but i didnt find any records of the payment. I went advance search and then search on transaction ID, then i found it.
