That price is insane there must be alot of spoiled little rich kids in the world lol....
It would be interesting to see what some of our forum members could do with a custom job like that but add a bit of retro flavor to it. They should have totally air brushed it GREEN would it made it more Zelda themed. He should have gotten one of those real OCARINAS and Stuck the Will remote in it.
Ha.....

It's basically just the Target exclusive sword and sheild replica glued on to one of the worst paint jobs I've ever seen. But congrats to the seller for getting that much for it, unbelievable.

basically it was a wii painted dark grey, stand and cube controller doors painted gold, and a plastic sword and shield stuck to the side, very ugly.

shield and sword arent plastic, i got this at target when they were available..they are metal. really really nice collector's item. but glued to a wii with a paintjob for 1200$+ is insane.

Is it just me or was this one here

WAY better?
also, kind of odd that ebay ended that auction early but not the one above? Is there some sort of rule against selling systems with customized cases? its not like it was modded or anything...

User relisted it. Apparently they were not within ebay's rules for charity auctions. Its relisted now and is already up to crazy amounts.
I still think the NES one is a LOT cooler. The zelda one would take a couple hours to make. All they did was add a crappy paint job with cheap paint, then added in some white LED's and put the zelda master replica set (that you can get for $25) on the side of the wii.
At least the NES one is a true mod. Pretty impressive what they did with it. I wish they had put in some more up close pictures, though, showing off the paint job. I could easily put together the zelda "modded" wii in the auction but there is no way I could do the NES one.
