I'm downloading the demo right now, will report back later with my first impressions. If you are a PS3 owner, and you don't have a Hong Kong account, you should set one up. It's really easy. Just choose a fake name and address in Hong Kong, etc, etc. It doesn't take that long. I had the Ridge Racer 7 demo almost a month before the US store got it. It might be the same thing with Hot Shots.

Are you sure this still works? Make sure you post some impressions on Hot Shots. I'm curious, as I've always preferred super-deformed golf games to Tiger Woods.

Well, tried out the game. It's pretty decent. Nothing to write home about. I'm not sure I'd buy this as a full featured retail game for $59.99. I think this would be better served as a download only game. The demo gives you three holes to play on, and you can either be a male or female golfer. Everything is in Japanese, so it's kinda hard to tell what's going on with certain things, but it's pretty easy to get the general gist of the game. I think there are two seperate control mechanisms. The normal 3 button golf swing, and then something else. Not sure what the other one is, if you use the sixaxis is some dumb fashion, or the thumbsticks. I'll have to try that next time.

The demo is pretty brief, so you don't really get a long time to check the game out. It pretty much seems very similar to the PS2 games, just in 720p this time. When I first saw the screenshots of this game last year, I thought it looked drop dead gorgeous, but actually playing it, I'm a bit dissapointed in the visuals. The gameplay seems spot on, but of course, all the Hot Shot games are pretty basic in gameplay.

Try it for yourself. Just create a new account as somebody living in Hong Kong. It's super easy.

Somehow I got connected to the Singapore PS store. It says Everybody's Golf 5 trial, is that what it says in the Hong Kong store too?

Well, I decided to try and make up an account also and it truly is as simple as making an import one for the 360 :) I actually liked the demo. The graphics for me range from very nice to certain places being absolutely beautiful.

On a side note, I noticed they added downloadable songs for Ridge Racer 7 to the Hong Kong store. Why would they not just add it here too?! Still, dont know if I wanna pay $1.28 per song ($10 HKD). Would downloadble HK content work on an American game?

Hmm, not sure. I do know that many people purchased the Tekken 5 game from the HK store, to get it a month or two early, and even now to save like 5 bucks.
