This news is a couple days old, but man, am I totally bummed.

It was one of my favorite gaming magazines still around. Such good writing and awesome reviews. My day is $%^@&* ruined.

...& I was about to resubscribe after 5 years or so...

All because the idiot owners spammed a bunch of people on Myspace.

See, Myspace not only molests, it murders too.

Yup, computer games are dead. It's too bad the magazine had to go with them.

I agree with you Gorez - the internet is a much better resource nowadays for pretty much everything. The closest thing we had to forums years back was Readers Mail! :)

But there's just something about flipping through the pages, putting it on a shelf and then re-reading old maagzines years later. Very good for nostalgia.

Wow, was that really the old 'Computer Games Strategy Plus' magazine?
I loved that magazine when I lived in UK, it started as a British magazine, and later was handed over to the USA. Great mag.

Was that what became of CG-Strategy Plus? I haven't read a PC gaming mag in years but CGSP was the best mag for me in the 90's. Really reminded me of the good content that was in the 80's mags.

I've thought for years now that magazines that deal with new releases (EGM for example) are obsolete because of the lead time from story to newstand. This is OK for magazines like Retro Gamer, but if I need info on new releases I'll just hit up the 'net as it's way more current

Someone may wanna change the title of this thread to Computer games Magazine: dead.

I thought this topic was about the slowly dying PC game industry...

PC gaming dying? Not anytime soon. Magazines? Quite possibly as other sources are more available.

I'm glad that there's at least one other sane person here.
