Ok, I need some help. I've followed the instructions from:

But I honestly don't think these are very good directions. I'm familiar with soldering, and I've purchased what I need. But, I don't care about the RF out. Can anyone help me here and possible simplify this? I removed the RF resistor and cut the trace underneath it. That is all I've done thus far. Is it possible to just run a soldered wire from the NES 2's video and audio pins? Or, do you have to have more to it? The mod above seems like more than I really need.

Please help! :)

I'm not really sure what else you are looking for. Between the write up and the schematic http://www.gamesx.com/grafx/nes_schm.gif it appears pretty complete and clear to me. If it doesn't work you can always jumper the trace you cut and reattach the resistor to get you back to the start.

Have you build the amplifier mentioned in the instructions? Without it the video signal is too weak.

Yes, I did. I also tested the direct audio out and just got a buzzing sound. I think the console is dead. Know anyone that can sell me a premodded one? :)

I've got one I can mod along with all the parts to do it, what is it worth to you? If you are serious PM me your offer and then I'll let you know if it is worth my time.

Do not follow those instructions!!! they're wrong!

I start a **HUGE** thread about this over at NESDEV forum. It seems the above mod does give you AV out, but the vertical lines are still there!

After months and months of work, I finally perfect clean video output from a top loader. The circuit board used and info is over on NESDEV.
