I spend most of my time playing the DS. It's a modern system, but I think it plays like a classic one.

Variates. I most collect classics stuff tho, but what i play is mixed. Today i played through Magical Sword for SNES. The previous days i've been playing The Tower for GBA. Overall i guess its mostly classic gaming so i voted that :)

The new stuff is innovative and fun, but the familiar feel of the old school is what keeps me coming back for more.

I play these systems the most:

Dreamcast
Saturn
PS1
Super Nintendo
Gameboy Advance

(in no particular order)

The newer stuff usually does nothing for me, except for a few games on XBox and Gamecube.

Will admit I'm a firm modern gamer at the moment-mainly because I've rediscovered Oblivion and, well, that is a bit of a time-occupier. I still have at my Mega Drive more than occasionally though.

I've been putting a lot of time recently into 6th generation console stuff (PS2/Gamecube/Xbox) and late 90s PC stuff (Interstate 76, Freespace, Tachyon: The Fringe, etc).

Well, i've played some NES games on my DS for some time, so i guess that counts as classic games.

Modern games, sorry I'm hooked on the 360.

I'm still classic. I TRY AND TRY to get into the new games, and I do GENUINELY like them, but I can't spend the kind of time that they require me to spend with them. So when I've got a free hour I prefer to spend it playing four or five "old" games rather than page through the instruction manual and GameFAQs and get past the learning curve for the new ones.

I'm classic game playing for the most part.

I play Genesis, NES, SNES, and Turbo Grafx/Duo the most.

On the other hand I can spend alot of time playing newer stuff (shooties) on PS2/PlayStation, Saturn, and Dreamcast.

I spend very little time playing PS3 and 360. But 360 has XBLA and I have spent some time playing Contra and Lumines and will be getting Time Pilot, TMNT, and Castlevania this week.

Modern...by a large margin. The 360 and PS2 take up easily 95% of my gaming time.

I still have all of my 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 games and consoles, but they're packed away. My PS and Dreamcast are hooked up and available, but rarely get played nowdays. Whenever I get the urge to play the old stuff, I usually am satisfied by a retro compilation, XBLA, or Wii V/C.

Classic here.

Don't get me wrong, I play the hell out of my Wii60. :)

But my arcade games, and my Atari era consoles get the most attention.

modern games. Theres a constant flow of fun stuff coming out for next gen systems, whereas I only play classic games from time to time. I can play Super Mario 3 but only so many times.

It's mostly modern for me. PS2, DS lite, etc. I've played classic stuff back in the day so it's NOT getting as much play. Word.

Modern gaming. I cant believe how addicting online gaming is on the 360.

There should have been more options in the poll. I can't really put myself fully into either category. Some weeks go by where I hardly touch a modern game, and then another week goes by where I don't touch anything but the 360 and PS3. Right now I can fully say that I'm all about Next-Gen and Old Schools. I sold off my Xbox 1, PS2 and GameCube awhile back (right before the 360 launched), and I made a decision that I'm just going to play Next-Gen and Retro, and cut everything else out for the time being.

I've been playing quite a bit of TG-16 lately, but I'm also playing some PS3. I mix in some Xbox 360 and some Super Nintendo and Genesis. I'm all over the map really. It's always an interesting thing to think about, in terms of how you balance these dramatically different gaming worlds.

I just play the classics. I have a PS2, but it's in far-off lands right now. The only games I really miss are DoDonPachi, Katamari Damashi, and Mushihimesama, though. Nothing else really impressed me. None of the current generation stuff appeals to me, either. All of the "big titles" for the PS3 are sequels -- Tekken 6, MGS4, FF13, et cetera. That's what I don't like about the current situation -- companies are less likely to create new, innovative games because it takes so much time and money to develop games with high-def graphics and everything. That's why I'm going to keep playing my PS1 for now. Its game library is so massive that I doubt I could play through every game in my lifetime. For every game I buy, I usually find out about two more that I also want. It's enough to keep me entertained for a while.

Modern, as said Xbox 360 is addicting.

Achievements are the big thing for me. I don't know what it is about them but I feel like I'm missing something when I play another game system and don't get them.

It varies. When I got a nintendo wii, I played the wii alot, but at the same time I played the snes also. It also is up to what I games I bought recently like Blazing Lazers for the tg-16 along with what Games, I want to beat next.

Both for me 50/50.

Same here. It's evenly split between the DS/PSP & NGPC/GB/GBC.

I go through phases where all I want to play are NES games. Then, later all I want to play are PS2 and Gamecube games. Right now, with so many new games that I have like God of War 2, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and a few others, my attention is turned to those systems.

Once I have gone through them, though, I will probably turn to my NES again, or even my Genesis, Saturn, or Dreamcast.
