Dear Gamers and Gamer Publications on the Internet and Elsewhere:

I have been praying, literally, that Take-Two and its lawyers would do something so stupid, so arrogant, so dumb, even dumber than what they have to date done, that such a misstep would enable me to destroy Take-Two. With the filing of this SLAPP lawsuit last week, my prayers are finally answered.

This lawsuit, filed in US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, is, without a doubt, the single dumbest thing I have ever seen any lawyers do in my thirty years of practicing law -- while in continuous good standing to do so with The Florida Bar, I might add, the shock radio and video game industry's efforts notwithstanding.

I encourage folks to read Psalm 35, a Psalm of David, which is brilliant in its entirety (since God Himself wrote it), but for those who don't own a Bible or who think their hands will catch on fire if they touch one, here is the salient portion that applies to this lawsuit:

7 For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit,
which without cause they have digged for my soul.

8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares;
and let his net that he hath hid catch himself:
into that very destruction let him fall.

9 And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD:
it shall rejoice in his salvation.

The pit Take-Two has dug for itself will be patently clear next week when I strike back. Oh, and by the way, the entire Take-Two management and board will be gone on March 23, so this pit-digging comes at a very bad time indeed.

Amen, and Praise be to God Almighty, maker of Heaven, Earth, and yes, the maker even video games.

The problem is that 46% of the investors have banded togeather and decided that Take Two needs to stop relying on GTA and make more money.(Oh also it seems some of the current board members may be a bit shady with sock options).

I'm not one to argue that it would be nice if take two could make something worth a dollar that isn't named GTA, but they've shown in the past that they're not very good at that. If it wasn't for GTA, TT would have been dead and gone years ago. I just hope they replace the board with people who understand the industry and can make good games.

Every time Jack opens his mouth or powers up his PC, somewhere, somehow, an orphan dies. I am actually in agreement with him on a good few things- greater steps should be taken to prevent the sale of Adult-oriented games (yes, like GTA) to minors, but unlike him, I believe (using common sense, a commodity Jack seems to have traded in for a bible) that the fingers need to be pointed at the parents (who buy little Jimmy the games) and the retailers (who sell little Jimmy the games).

I have a grand idea: I want to meet jack, punch him square in the face, and blame it on movies. hahahaha, that would throw him off so much.

I don't get mad at jack, because that is what he wants. Freedom of speech is very powerful, and with it, we get hot coffee, but we also get the opposite, which is jack. Don't get me wrong, I don't like jack one bit, but he is practicing his American right of freedom of speech. He can still lick my butthole, simply because he started something that he doesn't understand.

It would be the same as me, Kevin, trying to fight a battle saying that all children's television shows are actually bad and influence our children to do bad things (I have seen this attempted before, but failing).

People act differently with things that they do not understand. People that blame video games for their bad behavior do it because they know that if they blame video games, most of what they do gets put on the back burner, and then the video game violence gets put on the front line. jack loves these people. It fuels his fire. I think that jack is under the assumption that if he throws out bible verses, that people will take him seriously.

Guess what jack, I hope you realize that this is one board out of thousands that are ripping you apart piece by piece. Don't go by your beliefs, go by what the public wants you to do. You are only being an advocate for yourself. If a game is that bad, maybe the parents should do something about it if they don't want their child to play it, just like the music industry.

jack, you keep stepping on the feet of the people that could possibly support you if you brought a better approach. Think about it: is what you, mr. jack thompson, doing making your life that much better? What have you done to improve your life and the life of your children. Whether you like it or not, your children need to be exposed to things so that they do not live a sheltered life.

Shutting you kids into a closet and saying don't come out until you are 18 is not the approach to take jack.

This reminds me of the time I took on Smoke-Free Movies for a college thesus paper. I basically completely proved them wrong, and then they refused to respond to me after multiple phone calls and e-mails (I was being extremely nice, don't get me wrong).

Some people do not understand that what they are doing is not helping. If jack wants to pray, he should pray for the parents of kids that do bad things and then blame in on video games. I just hate the fact that politicians think that they can raise other people's children. Raise your own children before trying to do it for everybody else.

jack, listen up (even though I know you are never going to be on this board because you will be sent to your corner to think about what you did): jack, just because you grew up in a sheltered life where your parents forced you to go into a room with no light or sound for days on end to nullify your senses of anything that would be considered a societal norm, you don't have to take it out on the people that actually enjoy these games. jack, Go after a real cause like Wal-Mart or something and leave the gamers alone. When was the last time a hooker was murdered because somebody didn't want to pay her and got the idea from playing too much gta3.

There's no way Rockstar would ever be able to sell that game in WalMarts or most places if you could kill other kids and do violent, criminal things to them.
