How do you justify selling games games that aren't factory sealed or even sealed at all as brand new games?

What game isn't factory sealed besides the Radiant Silvergun? Just because it isn't sealed doesn't mean it isn't brand new. Bronty is a known collector on many sites and he sells legit stuff.

BTW - Nice stuff Bronty!! :)

Thanks Carl :)

As you said, the RS is the only game that isn't factory.

Please explain this comment.

There were a lot of games, especially import ones that were never sealed to begin with. Not saying Bronty has any of these listed and I am no Saturn expert, but I don't think they were sealed in Japan either. I know for a fact that Famicom, Super Famicom, MegaDrive etc weren't sealed.

well, I think its possible for something to be 'new' without wrap. I have a few games that I opened from sealed copies. They've never been played and all contents are 10/10 condition. You can't really call that 'used' can you? the radiant silvergun isn't one of those games, but it does look brand new.

First off Nice NES games I would love to have those... second... I dont think I would put an opened Item even if not played as NEW... because its not... sealed would be NEW. But really who cares... you can see its open... maybe you should say in Like New condition.

Good luck on the auctions.

thanks.

that's actually pretty much what I did, my auction description says 'as new.'

The auction title itself I couldn't fit anything more into.

Congrats on all the sales Bronty! Sending an email in a few (still havent gotten around to it). Pretty good price. I didnt know you had one. I was offered about $1000 for mine but turned it down. Didnt want to get rid of it and honestly questioned the validity of the offer. Some of the sealed games pulled insane priced (IE, mario, DW 3 etc).

yeah he got some high prices there... the DW 3 and 4, The SOtN surprised me and the Super mario RPG all seemed to go a bit high... As for the DKC, It did go pretty high at $900, but I have this fair valued at about $600 complete right now, and I haven't seen one in a while so it's not an omg price. For some reason the DKC is in much more demand than the starfox one, which I believe is running about $275. The rest seem about in line with my expectations...You definitly didn't have any cheapies there :)

Dk is much rarer and when found is often covered in stickers. The box is very tough. If star fox had a box I'm sure boxed copies would also be expensive.

Q: Ill give you $400 u.s for lufia mario rpg harvest moon and mega man. Captain Apr-16-07
A: that's quite entertaining.

MM7 ($393) alone sold for about what he offered for those 4 games :) Total it was $1145.5 which is $745.5 more than he offered lol ;) So a pretty lowball offer indeed.

Yeah, I love it when some stranger basically asks me to write them a cheque by selling something for half of market value ;) I don't mind reasonable offers but something like that is just insulting :)

that's the correct address, but I still haven't seen your email... why don't you pm me here instead or try sending through ebay's message system. Maybe our spam filters aren't friendly or something.

Hey sammelhammel... I have more stuff... but ebay's been kind enough and private offers take so much negotiating that I am probably just going to list stuff on ebay if that's alright.

Hope you're doing well.

Yeah, things have gone well lately, here's hoping it lasts. If I had to guess I'd say I might be able to get a little more because people are used to dealing with me and I try to take large pictures, etc. I'm not complaining :) Probably some good old fashioned luck too.

Yeah, good call. If star fox did have a box they'd be worth more complete for sure.

So that's why the DKC comp cart goes so high. People are willing to pay more for it because they need it for their box sitting empty on the shelf :P

A loose DK comp is a rarer cart than a loose Star fox comp cart. DK is a more popular series than the Star Fox series. DK is a better known character. When loose carts are found DK comp cart is harder to find in mint shape than a Star fox comp cart. Finally DK comp cart also has a box and thus has a higher max ceiling price than a less rare, less desirable, less known characters comp cart.

Looks like Bronty is going to put it to the test. He has a star fox comp cart up along with other beauties.
