Sphinx/Cursed Mummy PS2 gamesave glitch?

I'll probably start playing this w/in a few days, I recall reading here someone mentioned there's a PS2 save glitch that wipes your save or something. Anyone know where/when exactly in the game it occurs?

I thought about saving every 2 or 3 times, cutting my chances, but I'd rather know where it happens.

EDIT: OK, checked the gamefaqs guide, told me everything I need to know...
