This has been bugging me. In Dawn of the Dead, the scene where they're in the arcade playing games. What is the game Flyboy is playing? It's a black and white raster game where it looks like he's blowing up the USS Enterprise.
All the other games show, I think I've identified. Just that one...grr.

Moved to Arcade Alley. I would have merged this with the other movie cab ID topic if I had the priveleges.

Google is your friend. :) Type in "dawn of the dead arcade" and this (http://www.mameworld.net/movies/) page comes up.
According to them it's Starship 1 (http://klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=9782).
Great movie.

Don't feel bad. I've been collecting arcade flyers for awhile now, I've seen this one dozens of times but never made the connection. Adding it to the want list. :)

Seeing this movie also made me a bit nostalgic for the old electromechanical games. I didn't realize Atari ever made one (F-1 in the movie) but it makes sence as those were still sharing arcade space with the pins and videogames.
I'm just old enough to remember the tail end of this time. Mostly, I remember the Kee Games driving games with their huge (to a four year old) steering wheels. Good times...

Ah yes.. Starship 1. I had to use a tall chair to be able to see in when playing the cabinet that was in our local family favorite restaurant. Or rather, my dad had to hold me up to play it. Those weren't really kid-friendly cabinets LOL

what no Night of the Comet on that list. the chick was playing Tempest on one machine and then the next scene she was playing it on the one next to it. i may or may not be right on this but will confirm later if i feel like watching that horrible movie again
edit: it's mentioned at the bottom of the last page from that link

When I was around 9 there was a KOA campground nearbye that had that F1 game. My brother and I probably spent a few hundred bucks playing that thing. About 9 years ago I could have bought one from a local route operator that had it leased to a small amusment park.

That movie was just on Encore - I just flipped past it. Yes - she was 'playing' Tempest. And yes, that was a god-awful, turd of a film.
And I used to play Qwak! and F-1 at the arcade at Myrtle Beach all the time when I was a kiddie.
F-1 was kinda weird because sometimes you would crash for no apparent reason.

Watched this again today and noticed a few games that weren't listed on that Web site: Gangbusters and one of the Sprint games (couldn't tell which). Probably because you don't see any screenshots, but you do see a closeup of Peter using the Gangbusters Tommy gun.

The Sprint game in DotD was Sprint 2. The super common 2 player version.
